Electronics Engineer – Global Electronics Business

Isle of Wight Jobs are recruiting for an Electronics Engineer for a highly respected global and industry leading organisation here on the Isle of Wight.

Based either on the Isle of Wight or Southampton, this is an opportunity which will see you developing new cutting-edge products, whilst working on state-of-the-art technologies and contributing to groundbreaking worldwide projects. What’s more, you will have exposure to a varied base of clients ranging from Aerospace to Defence, Oil & Gas to Marine and Agricultural to Automotive. 

Working from their offices either on the Isle of Wight or Southampton, you will collaborate with electrical, mechanical and software engineers to create integrated solutions whilst conducting full product lifecycles. This would include prototyping, testing and validating new designs in line with the customers requirements and engineering specifications.

Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in electronics design and development, ideally in precision management or instrumentation. You will be proficient on PCB design and layout tools such as Altium Designer or Eagle.

Naturally you will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently or within a team and experience in EMC and environmental testing.

In terms of skills, our client is keen for you to be familiar with microcontroller-based systems and programming (e.g., ARM Cortex, C/C++) and have experience in signal processing and sensor integration. You will also have experience in SPICE (Stimulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis).
