Installation & Support Engineer

Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience and bonus scheme
Location: Based out of our HQ at Sandown Airport, you’ll be expected to cover the breadth of the Island and occasionally pop across to the mainland

We’re looking for a hands-on, practical problem-solver to join our growing team at ICR Systems as an Installation Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology, building and installing systems, and solving problems on site. If you’re the kind of person who loves DIY projects, fixing things, setting up equipment, and figuring out how things work, this could be the perfect role for you.

We supply and support innovative EPOS and hospitality technology for a wide range of businesses, and we need someone who can help install, configure, and support these systems for our customers.

No two days are the same - you’ll be out on site, installing equipment, solving technical issues, and helping customers get the most from their systems.

What you’ll be doing

• Installing, configuring and testing EPOS systems at customer sites
• Setting up hardware such as tills, printers, payment terminals and networking equipment
• Providing on-site technical support during installations and upgrades
• Training customers on how to use their systems effectively
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and carrying out repairs or replacements
• Helping improve our installation and support processes
• Ensuring every customer receives excellent service and support

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable, and enjoys hands-on technical work.

Ideal skills include:

• Good DIY / practical skills and confidence installing equipment
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Interest in technology and IT systems
• Basic knowledge of Windows and networking (preferred but not essential)
• Previous EPOS experience is helpful but not required
• A full UK driving licence

Job Details

Hours: This is a full-time position. Working hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Out of hours: You’ll be required to work one weekend out of 4 on call with a day off in lieu the following week

Contract: Permanent (after 6-month probation)

Salary: Dependent on experience
