Care Team Leader- £15.65- £17.51per hour

We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to provide high-quality care and support for a 15 year old girl with a brain injury and complex needs in her home and the community.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced support worker to take on a leadership role, ensuring consistency and excellence in care.

One of our clients is now looking to directly employ a Care Team Leader to work in the family setting near Ryde.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting her daily routine, therapy programmes, and social engagement, while also managing and guiding a small care team.

Key responsibilities

  • To make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
  • Providing specialist care and support, tailored to our client’s needs
  • Assisting with daily activities, personal care and therapy programmes.
  • Leading in coordinating a small team of carers, ensuring high-quality of care.
  • working closely with the family and healthcare professionals.
  • Administering medication.
  • Monitoring and updating care plans, ensuring all needs are met effectively.
  • Maintaining clear records and reporting changes in client’s condition.

About You

  • Experience in supporting children/ young people with complex needs
  • Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to care.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Experienced in administrative care tasks- Risk assessment, Care plan management
  • Experience in balancing client care needs with the requirements of a professional staff team in an intimate family setting.

Due to Personal Care requirements, there is an occupational requirement to recruit female staff

Ideally, you’ll have a full, clean driving licence, but this isn’t essential.

This is a full time role, delivering around 36 hours of care per week, with additional administrative duties as the role evolves.

Shift Pattern includes two weekend shifts (09.00- 20.00) and up to six weekday shifts (13.30-20.00) per fortnight. More hours may be available during school holidays.
