- Grant & Trust applications - identify and prioritise opportunities from trusts and foundations, crafting high-quality proposals to secure funding.
- Donor engagement & stewardship - build and nurture relationships with donors, ensuring excellent stewardship and fostering long-term support for the sanctuary.
- Grow virtual donkey adoptions - develop innovative strategies to increase virtual donkey adoptions, engaging supporters through creative digital campaigns, onsite promotion and personalised experiences that build lasting connections with our donkeys
- Community fundraising - strengthen and expand our community fundraising initiatives, increasing awareness and support from local groups and organisations.
- Measurement & impact – measure the success of all fundraising activities ensuring we meet targets and demonstrate real impact.
About you
- Strong experience in crafting successful fundraising strategies with a proven track record of exceeding targets and achieving significant fundraising income
- Great contacts on IOW and the ability to network on a local basis
- A fundraising qualification (such as a CIOF Certificate of Fundraising) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
- You will be a great people person and love engaging with our community.
- Experience in team management
- Strong project management skills with an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using fundraising databases (experience with Beacon is a plus) and basic Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
For you
- Cash plan health scheme
- Hybrid working available, to be discussed in more detail at interview
- Employee assistance program
- Tenured holiday allowance
- Staff discounts in our shop and café
- Charitable discounts
- Additional local discounts
- Opportunities for professional development and growth.
