We are excited to offer this new opportunity, in which you will play a pivotal role in supporting the fundraising team to maximise income and deliver all aspects of our growing events programme. As part of the Events team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a variety of our events programme.

This is a varied role with significant potential for growth and development. Using your creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm, you’ll support the Events Lead in designing bespoke events to attract more participants, increase income, and raise the charity’s profile and reach.

Additionally, you’ll help to build robust stewardship and communication journeys to engage audiences, ensuring that messaging is integrated, engaging, and on-trend. You’ll also support the wider fundraising team by managing general enquiries and contributing to the success of all fundraising activities.

Key Tasks:

As an Events Coordinator, you will be key in supporting and delivering a successful events programme. Under the supervision of the Events Lead, manage and support the delivery of the fundraising, engagement and stewardship events programme within budget, meeting agreed targets and objectives in line with the overall strategy and be responsible for/to:

Working with the Events Lead to manage, develop and deliver the events strategy to achieve agreed income, expenditure and audience targets. And identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

Supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of the events, including sourcing and managing venues, technical equipment, third-party suppliers, first aid and more.

Preparing risk assessments to ensure the safety of participants, staff and volunteers, and protecting the organisation.

Undertake prospect research to identify potential and appropriate sponsors and gift-in-kind opportunities through partnerships.

Working alongside administrators to ensure processing of data ensures accurate database records for all event participants, sponsors, donors, volunteer groups and individual volunteers to ensure accurate analysis, financial reporting and strategic donor management.

Attending and supervising elements of events (on and off-site), as required.

Supporting Mountbatten Hampshire with the flexibility for mainland travel if required.
