An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sports and Fitness Lecturer to join The Isle of Wight College.
About the role
As a Lecturer working within our Sports and Fitness team, you will be passionate about planning and delivering a range of classes and maintaining a high-quality learning environment.
You will be responsible for preparing and delivering lessons whilst continuously assessing learner progress, providing feedback and maintaining appropriate records.
This high energy role will include participating in and organising extra-curricular activities, social activities and sporting events.
You will be expected to work safely, in accordance with the College’s safeguarding and departmental risk assessment procedures.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be able to plan, deliver and assess the curriculum in line with the awarding body and College standards.
You will have in-depth and practical knowledge of Sports and Fitness and demonstrable oral, written, IT and communication skills.
You will hold a minimum Level 3 Personal Training Qualification and a minimum Level 2 Gym Instructing Qualification.
