The new Isle of Wight MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) will be a collaborative arrangement with statutory partners and co-located agencies which supports highly effective joint working and decision making for children and families. We are recruiting our new MASH social workers, and it could be just the next career and lifestyle move you are looking for.

We believe that the best practice is ‘Creating Change Together’, where many decisions about a child or young person are taken with them, their families and carers.

This is a rare, exciting and career defining opportunity to be part of the development and implementation of the first MASH on the Isle of Wight. Following the successful conclusion of our 10-year partnership with Hampshire, whose MASH has been judged as outstanding through many Ofsted inspections, we need to operate our own.

We have welcomed a brand-new senior leadership team with the determination and skill to build our new Children's Service who are promoting their new approach, which is relational, strengths-based, solution-focused, and restorative.

As part of this new approach, you will be involved in every aspect of the development, implementation, and subsequent operation of the Isle of Wight MASH

You and your new MASH team will benefit from:

  • Experienced business administrators to help with operation of the MASH.

  • Five extra days to take during the year for professional development; to support career progression and ongoing learning for the MASH team.

  • Our nine-day working fortnight, providing an additional 26 days’ time off in lieu a year (enabling you to make the most of all the Isle of Wight lifestyle can offer.)

  • A generous market supplement and relocation package.

Do you...

Want a new challenge?
Want to work in a dynamic environment?
Want to focus on improvement and continual learning?
Share our vision and ambition to get things right for children?
Share our aim to intervene at the right time, in the right place and with the right support?

Relocate to the Isle of Wight, voted Best UK Destination of the Year, and has been named in the Sunday Times as one of the “best places to live in the UK.”

Does this sound like an opportunity you or someone you know might be interested in?

If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you!

For further information or an informal discussion please contact our Team Manager, Sara Carvalho on [email protected]
