The Isle of Wight College are currently recruiting for a part-time Lecturer in Painting & Decorating, to bring their passion for this area to support our students studying at all levels from Level 1 to Level 3 to achieve their full potential.

Your innovative style and approach to learning will be demonstrated through your enthusiasm to motivate and inspire, tailoring your teaching to take account of the wide range of backgrounds and varied academic and vocational aspirations of our students.

Whilst we welcome applications from those currently teaching, for those from a purely industry background full support will be given from a highly dedicated team to help you achieve a teaching qualification through the College’s in-house teacher training programme.
Key Responsibilities:
• To plan and deliver lessons to a range of classes, maintaining a high-quality student learning experience
• To formally assess, giving appropriate feedback (written and oral) and maintaining records of student’s progress and development
• Undertaking academic tutorial duties, supporting students on an individual basis through academic difficulties
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to secure and maintain successful relationships
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths
• A minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Hold an endorsed teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards
• Knowledge of raising retention and achievement for curriculum areas
• A working knowledge of a student focused environment is desirable, but not essential
