Food and Beverage Manager
Key Responsibilities
· Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and catering services. Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
· Menu Development: Collaborate with management to design and update menus, considering customer preferences and market trends.
· Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise kitchen and service staff. Conduct performance evaluations and foster a positive work environment.
· Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitor costs, and track sales. Ensure efficient inventory management and ordering of supplies.
· Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service. Address guest complaints and gather feedback to implement improvements.
· Compliance and Safety: Enforce health, hygiene, and safety regulations in all food and beverage areas. Maintain necessary licenses and conduct regular inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Experience: Proven experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in roles such as Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, or Catering Manager.
· Education: A degree in hospitality management, business management, or culinary arts would be an advantage.
· Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage staff and interact with customers effectively.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to address issues promptly and implement effective solutions to enhance guest experiences.
Operations Overview
We are a multipurpose higher end boutique hospitality destination incorporating various guest and day visitor amenities. Pinnacle Suites Hotel accommodation, The Bird Bar and Starboard Lounge, Captains Quarters for private gatherings and breakfasts, BarBossa’s Galley & Rum Bar, T2 vDub Café and Juice Bar, Retail shops and Pinnacle Fitness Studio.
This position is to oversee the food and beverage elements. Situated in the centre of Cowes on the Isle Of Wight we benefit from intensive on season sailing and on water events, professional business guests and the local community customers. We are a relatively small team offering what we believe is a unique mix of services and facilities, entering our first year of trading whereby we have our completed development in place.
Our beverage focus ranges from presenting eclectic spirits and cocktails in The Bird Bar, hosting Gin and Jazz evenings, an extensive Rum focus in BarBossa’s and juice, energy drinks, and hot beverages in thet2 vDub Café. Food is generally easy casual and bar snack tapas styles.
Remuneration will be tailored for the successful candidate.
