Premier Motors is currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), to join our friendly and fast-paced Aftersales team at our Newport site.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has keen attention to detail, enjoys working with people, has a passion for cars, and wants to build a rewarding career within our well-established and successful Accident Repair Centre team.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are always met.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assess vehicle damage and create detailed repair estimates using appropriate software.
- To maintain clarity and precision in all transactions.
- Provide a courteous and pleasant welcome to all our customers and suppliers.
- To ensure accurate records are kept and updated in a timely manner.
- Use your skill and knowledge to provide accurate vehicle assessments and estimates for repairs in line with industry standards.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets.
- Ensure all paperwork and compliance requirements are met.
- Work in collaboration with the workshop team to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maximise efficiency and cost control in line with company policies.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Special Requirements
- Experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator / VDA within a fast-paced accident repair centre environment is a distinct advantage. However, training would be provided to a candidate lacking the qualifications but with extensive industry experience.
- Confident, well-presented and customer focused.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and the latest industry standards.
- Experience using Audatex for estimating and assessments.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
