Project Manager MEICA - Unitspark Limited

We are currently looking to recruit a full time project Manager to join our expanding company. Mechanical & Electrical Engineering knowledge is key as you will be required to spec up clients requirements, quote for works, and write method statements and risk assessments

Unitspark works in various sectors but predominantly within the water industry and specialise in providing the complete mechanical engineering service.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, with the ability to consistently work to high standards. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Experience delivering successful MEICA projects.
• IOSH and NEBOSH safety certificates.
• Experience managing CDM projects and CDM awareness.
• Computer literate / good IT skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills for managing supplier contracts.
• Ability to work well with other teams within the company.
• UK Driving License

Desirable for the role

• Candidates based on the mainland will also be considered, subject to their ability and willingness to travel to the Isle of Wight 2–3 days per week to undertake site visits
• Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems, design principles, and project management methodologies.
• Time-served mechanical or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• Time-served electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
• Current wiring regulation certification (18th Edition).
• Willing and able to train others.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools.
• Experience working in the water industry.
• IOSH or NEBOSH
