Role Summary
This role requires the individual to work as part of a team supporting the business by ensuring that the handling of goods received and issuing of parts is recorded accurately and efficiently on our X system. The role will key tasks such as inventory, stock checking and quality control and will work closely with purchasing team to ensure the parts ordered are received and not damaged.
Shared responsibility for keeping the stores area clean and orderly and conducting any work that may be requested by the Stores Manager.
Main Duties
· Issuing parts to departments as required.
· Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items and flagging them to the appropriate department / Manager
· Updating inventory management systems accurately and in a timely manner
· Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift* subject to qualifications
· As part of the stores team, undertake stocktakes as and when required by the Company
· Order picking of items from the stores, and transferring the parts to the departments that require them.
· Loading / unloading vehicles / trailers as required.
The Ideal Candidate
Will have good general education and be confident in the use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook and Excel.
Be an excellent team player and pay excellent attention to detail.
Previous experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential, as is holding a
fork lift truck licence.
Full training and ongoing support will be given to the sucessful candiate.
