We are looking for an experienced, versatile and self-motivated person to join our small friendly team at A A Coombes Ltd boatyard in Bembridge. We are a busy boatyard with year round activity, repairing and maintaining all types of boats and building glass fibre dinghies. This role will be a key member of the team, covering many diverse tasks.
Job Description:
- Assisting lifting, launching and blocking up, pressure washing and antifouling of boats also collecting and returning boats from moorings and marina
- Assist with manual handling challenges ashore and on the water
- General yard and machinery maintenance
- Tidying up working areas
- Supporting fibreglass dinghy construction
Requirements:
Essential
- Previous marine experience and ability to work as part of a small team
- Knowledge of sailing
- Physical fitness, water confident, job involves working outside in all weather conditions
- Be prepared to work solo using initiative as required
- Have a practical, enthusiastic and cheerful approach to all challenges
- Familiarity with all Health and Safety requirements
- Full Driving Licence
Desired
- Tractor/Forklift driving experience
- Powerboat Level 2 qualification
