Location: Manufacturing Facility – Newport Isle of Wight
Hours: Full time, 37.75 hours per week (Monday–Thursday: 07:37 – 16:22 & Friday: 07:37 – 12:22)
Salary: £25,500 per annum + bonus (subject to company performance.)

About the Role
Diametric Technical Limited is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Trainee Production Operative to join our busy manufacturing team.
This is an trainee, hands-on role ideal for someone keen to learn practical skills in a production environment. You will support our screen and digital printing operations, along with general manufacturing, goods in / goods out, and finishing activities.
The role involves manual handling, including lifting, moving, sorting, and storing materials and finished goods. Full training will be provided, and you’ll be supported to develop skills across multiple departments.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with screen printing and digital printing processes
- Supporting screen making (coating, exposing, reclaiming screens)
- Laminating, cutting, assembling, and finishing printed components
- Receiving, sorting, and storing incoming deliveries
- Picking, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch
- Carrying out manual handling tasks within safe working limits
- Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Keeping work areas clean and following all health & safety procedures
- Working across different departments as needed
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Team player who can also work independently
- Able to carry out manual handling tasks associated with the role, in line with health & safety requirements
Desirable (not essential)
- Experience in manufacturing, print, or production
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Awareness of factory health & safety
- Basic IT skills
