About the role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to join our IoW factory team. This is a key shopfloor leadership role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure products are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

You will play a vital role in organising workflows, supporting and developing the shopfloor team, and driving a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining a strong operational presence.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of daily production activities, resolving issues that may impact safety, quality, or delivery schedules

Lead, motivate, and manage the shopfloor team, promoting a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture

Ensure all production activities comply with QHSSE policies and maintain a safe, efficient working environment

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using 5S and lean manufacturing principles

Monitor and deliver shopfloor KPIs in line with business objectives and company values

Work closely with the Production Planner to optimise production plans, capacity, and manpower

Champion the use of D365, ensuring accurate, real-time production and performance data

Ensure team training and competence in line with the competency matrix, supporting flexible skillsets

Coordinate with planning to ensure materials and components are available to support uninterrupted production

Oversee machinery maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement as required

Deputise for the Production Manager when needed

Exercise the authority to stop work where safety or QHSSE compliance is compromised

About You:

You are a practical, confident leader with strong experience in production and a passion for safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential:

At least five years’ experience in shopfloor operations within a similar factory environment

Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, and planning

Proven leadership ability with excellent communication skills

A decisive, organised, and solutions-focused approach

Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental standards

Production or process experience

Experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing environments

Hours of Work:

39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday 07:15 am to 4:45 pm,

Friday 07:15 am to 12:30 pm

Salary:

£35,000.00 up to £40,000 depending on experience
