About the job
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising and completing the end of day activities of our food manufacturing facility in Arreton on the Isle of Wight. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the production process runs smoothly, adhering to quality and safety standards, and meeting production targets. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and process control, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. And the ability to work in a multi lingual and multicultural environment, and happy to work different shift patterns in and out of season.

Key accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Supervise Production Activities: Oversee and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise performance.
- Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee the production of high-quality food products.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and ensuring compliance with Salsa standards.
- Resource Management: Manage resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets and reduce waste.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing strategies to enhance overall production performance.
- Communication: Maintain open communication channels with team members, other departments, and management to address issues, share information, and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely completion of production records, reports, and other relevant documentation.

Salary: £13.50 an hour.
Working Week:
Hours are based on an average 44-hour week, to include Saturdays on a Rota basis. We are a seasonal business, and your working week will vary during our peak and off-peak times. May to December you will supervise the second shift from 2 pm to 10 pm. January to April you will work one of the 2 day shifts which run between the hours of 6 am to 5 pm.
