The Role
We are seeking an experienced Precision Machinist & Welding Operator to join our busy production team. This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated individual with a strong engineering background and a passion for precision manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual milling and turning machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Programme XYZ machines to produce precision components
- Select and set appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and production deadlines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with company procedures
- Welding components (TIG)
- Stock control
Requirements
- Proven experience as a machinist within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of XYZ machine programming and setup
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and communication skills
Qualifications & Experience
A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship is desirable. Experience with milling, turning, and common control systems is advantageous. Full training on company-specific processes will be provided where required.
