About the Role

We are looking to recruit time served, experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our engineering department. The role involves carrying out mechanical fitting on new builds and repairs on refits on the boats marine systems and equipment.

The ideal candidates will have the following knowledge and experience;

> A minimum of 4 years post qualification experience in shipbuilding or similar manufacturing industry

> Qualified to at least NVQ level 3 or above in a relevant qualification

> Be competent in ship drivetrain installation and alignment 

> Able to read and interpret technical drawings and complete quality control documentation and ensuring standards are met.

The ideal candidate will be a true team player; be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces in all weather conditions. Experience of mentoring apprentices would be desirable though not essential.
