Job Purpose:
To join our existing team in developing electronic systems, utilising your working knowledge of read-chain development for sensor systems and good self-governance to define systems and system workflows for electronic systems
Job Description: This is a hands-on role requiring a range of technical expertise, combining aspects of systems engineering, circuit design, electronics, physics, mathematics, and analysis. The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver, capable of understanding how different components in a sensor read-chain interconnect to create innovative solutions to our customers' problems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate complex electronic systems for radiation detection, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Apply a broad range of physics, electronics, and mathematics skills to solve interdisciplinary challenges.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methods to enhance product development and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and adhere to/create systematic engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.

- A broad field of technical skills and the eagerness to expand this knowledge base to meet evolving company needs, including electronics design, digital and analogue, physics and sensor technology.

- Flexibility in thinking, not limited by conventional training, in hands-on work when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Physics, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- > 5 years of industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a role that blends engineering, physics, and analysis elements. Experience in radiation detection technology is a bonus but not essential.
- Strong foundational knowledge in at least one programming language and, ideally, familiarity with engineering tools such as KiCAD, LTSpice, PADs, MATLAB, Python, Visual Studio
- Experience in signal processing techniques, noise reduction, and FPGA or embedded systems would be of benefit.
- Evidence of practical skills that demonstrate technical competence and innovation (e.g. an example of the previous project/work, personal projects or hobbies related to electronics, mechanics, or other relevant areas).
