Continuous Improvement Lead - Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK)

Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) Ltd operates internationally, designing and manufacturing advanced electronics products and systems for the communications, defence, security and government services market.

We are excited to announce that we are building upon the commercial success achieved to date, and have an opportunity to join our rapidly expanding team. 

We are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our team.

Responsibilties & Tasks

Oversight and development of site CI programme - ensuring consistency in CI approach and the capture and sharing of best practice.

Development of strategies and initiatives related to CI and Lean Manufacturing to drive improved operational performance.

Functional leadership of CI activity and resources on site basis, working with Operations Team to ensure consistent roll out of CI activity.

Skills Required

Essential: 

  • Substantial experience of continuous improvement approaches (e.g. 5S, DMAIC, Gemba, PDCA, OEE, VSM, lean manufacturing).
  • Demonstrable track record of leading successful delivery of specific continuous improvement projects with the ability to including influence organisations
  • Computer literacy, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio to at least intermediate level.

Desired

  • Significant experience of CI in a global business.
  • Experience/training in CI approaches obtained in organisations with strong CI culture.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or recognised corporate equivalent. ISO18404
  • Minitab data analytics.
  • Electronic Manufacturing Engineering background is preferred.
