Composite Trimmer/Finisher
Initially a 6 month contract although this would lead to a permanent position for the right person.
Preferably you will be familiar with the processes for trimming/finishing composites via various methods such as Diamond saws, reciprocating saws, grinders along with sanding and fairing.
The applicant should have knowledge in all processes involved in the trimming/finishing of composite components using diamond saws, reciprocating saws, grinders etc. Experience in filling, fairing and sanding would be beneficial.
It would be advantageous for the candidate to have some laminating experience in either or all the below composite manufacturing processes.
- Prepreg materials
- Resin Infusion
- Polyester Resin & Gelcoat
- Epoxy Resins & Gelcoat
- Tooling/Mould manufacture
Formal qualifications would be beneficial although not essential. You will be responsible for the trimming/finishing of various composite components. You will follow the company’s manufacturing procedures, self-inspecting your work at various stages.
The candidates should be flexible workers and able to work independently and as part of a team.
