Electrician / Maintenance Fitter

Vikoma is a world leader in the design and manufacture of oil spill response equipment. Our expert team of 60 supports an international market from an Isle of Wight based facility.

Based in East Cowes Isle of Wight, we are now looking for experienced individuals to join our production team.  If you are experienced in electrical work and would like to work in our assembly and maintenance team then please do apply.

We can offer you a permanent contract working a 38 hour week inside at our East Cowes factory with a competitive salary.  Overtime is also available.

Main responsibilities:

• Wiring and assembly as part of manufacturing process to build equipment.
• Maintenance of offices and workshops and plant and equipment on site.
• Working in accordance with company work instructions which will take the form of drawings and verbal instructions.

Desired skills:

• Proficient electrical skills including understanding of electrical diagrams and assembly.
• Understanding of operation of workshop equipment to enable maintenance
• Ability to work from electrical and engineering drawings.
• Minimum 3 years relevant practical experience.
• Able to work in a clean and efficient way.
• Ability to work as a team member as well as individually.
• Ability to follow work instructions and procedures.
• Minimum level 3 diploma of electrical installation
