About the role

The Site Engineer has responsibility of completing a variety of planned and reactive maintenance across our rides and attractions. The role includes:

• To work as an operational engineer carrying out the Planned/Preventative maintenance schedule, safety checks and ride start up procedures
• To provide an effective breakdown service that will facilitate excellent ride availability and safety for our guests and staff
• To complete and sign off documentation relating to statutory safety checks and maintenance work undertaken on rides, equipment and facilities as described in departmental procedures and HSE guidance (HSG175)
• To carry out the winter strip programme in order to facilitate a thorough annual inspection of our amusement devices, all in order to obtain certification to the agreed deadlines

About you

• Qualified to a City & Guild, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent within a Mechanical Engineering / Technician discipline
• Experience of mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience working with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) schedules
• Experience of working within a heavy industrial / automated environment such as; FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics, Airport or Theme Park
• Experience of planned/preventative maintenance Systems of Work
• Fault Finding/Diagnostics
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
• You must be competent in using technology in the workplace such as tablets, apps and computers..

A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to our location and the nature of the role. The position is full time (41.5 hours a week), working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. Includes some weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.
