A vacancy has arisen for a full-time Plant Maintenance Fitter/ELV (End of Life Vehicle) Operative.
Previous experience of working within the automotive/mechanical industry required.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Performing daily routine maintenance on the Company’s excavators/cranes, forklift trucks, hydraulic plant and machinery.
- Minor repairs to various plant and machinery
- Changing hydraulic hoses/seals when required
- Keeping all Plant and Machinery clean and tidy
- Depolluting of ELV’s (End of Life Vehicles) using specialist depollution equipment
- Maintenance of depollution equipment and daily checks
- Keeping all plant and machinery clean and tidy
- Adhere to all site health and safety policies
Skills required
- Previous experience of working in a garage environment or on-site mobile repairs/maintenance.
- Must have good operational understanding of mobile plant and machinery.
- Good knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Welding and Oxygen/Propane cutting experience would be an advantage.
- Reliable and punctual
The successful applicant must have a positive attitude, be health and safety conscious, be a good team player and have a hands-on approach. They must also have good customer service skills and enjoy working outdoors in all conditions in an industrial environment.
