What we need in a nutshell
We’re looking for an enthusiastic team member who has a great attitude, is flexible in their approach to work, and takes pride in whatever they do to keep the park in tip-top condition and looking spectacular.
If you are happy to work outside and like a challenge we would love to hear from you.
Who are we?
We’re a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday at our award-winning UK resorts. Want to find out more about our holidays? Check out our website: http://www.awayresorts.co.uk.
Some of the background
We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.
Are you the person who can deliver delight to our guests by ensuring that everything works properly, and looks at its best across the park at all times?
What you’ll be doing
As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be key in supporting the Maintenance team to ensure everything is in good working order and looking at it’s best.
Your work will include:
- Maintaining holiday homes, caravans and on-site facilities, this will include: repairing doors and windows, kitchens, bathrooms and anything else that needs some TLC
- We also cut the grass, do the strimming, trim the hedges, water the plants, repair the fencing and more…
Our guests and staff rely on us, so you will need to be friendly, able to think on your feet and sometimes be a little creative.
One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays, evenings and weekends too.
Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need
We’ll provide training, but you must:
- Have a friendly and helpful attitude when you meet guests and be good at communicating within your team.
- Have a talent for practical jobs and for troubleshooting when problems arise.
- Be open to learning – experience isn’t as important as eagerness to learn
- Be willing to turn your hand to anything – guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs and ready to help.
We have a can-do, people-centred ethos at Away Resorts, and we look for certain qualities in our team members. Have a read about it and see if you fit the bill.
Nice to have but not essential
It would be great if you tick some of this box too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).
- Experience of working in a holiday park.
What we can offer you
A friendly work environment set in beautiful surroundings. The opportunity to learn new skills and develop through inhouse training and support.
And all employees benefit from fantastic discounts across all Away Resorts holiday parks – Why not see where this can take you. https://www.awayresorts.co.uk/parks/

Our promise to you
Holiday Heroes come with all sorts of different super-powers, and we welcome them all! After all, wouldn’t it be boring if we were all the same? We embrace diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities. We love that everyone comes from different backgrounds, allowing us to grow and inspire each other. We’ll never accept any form of discrimination, and we’ll forever strive, not just for our product to be unique, but our people too. In short, we want to bring your whole self to work!
Good Luck!
