Hours: 30 per week
Cowes Floating Bridge requires a driven, knowledgeable, and focussed Technical Officer to be responsible for the implementation of the planned maintenance programme for the Floating Bridge, maintain associated equipment and to ensure that the slipways are safe at all times for use by pedestrians. To be the first point of contact in the event of a technical problem or breakdown; liaising with and coordinating specialist contractors where necessary.
The flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some Bank Holidays is important. The postholder will be required to be on a standby rota with the existing Senior Floating Bridge Technical Officer to ensure 24/7 cover is provided
It is essential that the successful candidate holds Engineering Qualifications and has considerable engineering experience. City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
