Join Wight Building Materials, a Joint Venture of Aggregate Industries and Eurovia, on the Isle of Wight as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and improving our electrical systems across the site. As part of the Engineering Department, you’ll contribute to safety excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across the operation. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment, collaborate with skilled teams, and make a lasting impact on a business that’s vital to the Isle of Wight’s construction industry. This role entails a Monday to Friday working pattern with the occasional weekend work paid in overtime.
Who You Are
You’re a skilled and motivated professional with a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance. Your technical expertise and commitment to safety make you an asset to any team. Here’s what makes you a great fit:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in engineering specifically an electrical qualification or apprenticeship.
- Ideally have the 18th edition and be able to test portable appliances (although training will be given)
- Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, including installations, inspections, and fault-finding.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to following processes and procedures.
- IT literate and physically fit.
