You’ll be part of a supportive team delivering care across our supported housing schemes, extra care services and within the local community. You’ll provide care and support in line with individual care plans, helping people to live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

This is a part-time role working 21 hours per week.

This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility. You’ll be expected to work evenings and weekends where required and may undertake sleep in duties or take part in an on-call rota. The role also involves physically demanding tasks, including moving and handling, and responding calmly in emergency situations.

Our CQC registered office is in Newport, Isle of Wight.

  • A commitment to equality, dignity and anti-discriminatory practice
  • The physical ability to undertake moving and handling tasks
  • Basic IT skills to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, sleep in duties and on call rotas
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Qualifications & development:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent)
  • No previous experience is required - full training and support will be provided.
  • Successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check

About the team

You’ll be part of our Care & Support service, delivering CQC regulated, person centred care to people with a range of support needs.

The service focuses on helping people live independently, achieve their goals and remain active within their communities. We support individuals with their wellbeing, safety and daily living, tailoring our approach to meet each person’s unique needs.

Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll help deliver care that promotes dignity, choice and inclusion, ensuring people feel safe, supported and empowered in their daily lives.
