A Senior Care Assistant in a care home provides high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, promoting their dignity, independence, wellbeing and safety. The role involves assisting with personal care, medication, mobility, meals and daily activities, while monitoring residents’ health and reporting any concerns to senior staff. The Senior Care Assistant also supports and guides care staff, helps coordinate daily care routines, maintains accurate records, communicates effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals, and ensures that care is delivered in line with individual care plans, safeguarding requirements and relevant care standards.
