Head of Care - Victoria House Residential Care Home

Are you a compassionate and experienced care professional ready to lead with heart and skill? We are looking for a dedicated Head of Care to join our warm, welcoming, small 20 bed care home, located by the sea in Ryde. 

About the Role:

As Head of Care, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will lead and support the care team, oversee care standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the care team, ensuring excellent standards of care at all times
• Complete and review care plans, risk assessments, Audits and new resident assessments 
• Support and development of staff
• Administer and oversee safe medication practices
• Be a point of contact for families and professionals, fostering positive relationships
• Ensure the home remains compliant with CQC regulations and internal policies

What We’re Looking For:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home
• A good understanding of CQC standards, Medication practices and safeguarding practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• A caring and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for elderly care
