About the Role
As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex physical, behavioural, emotional, and mental health needs.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing direct, hands-on support with daily living activities

Supporting individuals with personal care where required
-
Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
-
Following individual care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments
-
Supporting individuals to participate in meaningful activities
-
Monitoring wellbeing and accurately recording observations and incidents
-
Supporting individuals during times of distress using appropriate and trained approaches
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and healthcare professionals
-
Maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring safeguarding is always prioritised
This role requires patience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to providing safe, consistent, and compassionate care.
Essential Requirements

Previous experience working in a care or support role (complex care experience preferred)

A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care

Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

Good written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments, and policies
-
Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care
-
Willingness to complete training and ongoing professional development
Desirable (but not essential):
-
Experience working with individuals with complex behaviours or additional needs
-
Experience in supported living, residential care, or community care
-
Relevant care qualification (e.g. NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care)
Full training will be provided.
