About the Role

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex physical, behavioural, emotional, and mental health needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct, hands-on support with daily living activities

• Supporting individuals with personal care where required

• Promoting independence, dignity, and choice

• Following individual care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessments

• Supporting individuals to participate in meaningful activities

• Monitoring wellbeing and accurately recording observations and incidents

• Supporting individuals during times of distress using appropriate and trained approaches

• Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and healthcare professionals

• Maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring safeguarding is always prioritised

This role requires patience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to providing safe, consistent, and compassionate care.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working in a care or support role (complex care experience preferred)

• A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care

• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to follow care plans, risk assessments, and policies

• Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care

• Willingness to complete training and ongoing professional development

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience working with individuals with complex behaviours or additional needs

• Experience in supported living, residential care, or community care

• Relevant care qualification (e.g. NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care)

Full training will be provided.
