This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a busy and growing GP practice, helping to ensure high-quality services are delivered to our patients while supporting and developing our dedicated administrative teams.

About the Role

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will provide leadership and operational oversight across our administration and reception teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Line management of administration and reception staff across all three sites.
  • Creating and managing staff rotas and ensuring adequate service cover.
  • Conducting one-to-ones, appraisals and supporting staff development.
  • Leading recruitment, induction and training of new team members.
  • Supporting service improvement projects and operational change.
  • Coordinating premises, health and safety and compliance activities.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for administration-related queries.
  • Supporting the delivery of outstanding patient services across the practice.

 About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Experience of rota planning and resource management.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A positive, supportive and proactive leadership style.
  • The ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across all three practice sites.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Experience within a GP practice or primary care setting would be highly desirable, as would knowledge of CQC requirements, employment processes and clinical systems such as EMIS or SystmOne.

 What We Offer

  • A supportive and friendly working environment.
  • An opportunity to make a real difference to patient services.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.

The successful candidate will be required to work across all three sites; Brighstone, Godshill and Niton as part of their normal duties.

To apply, please submit your CV and covering letter outlining your suitability for the role.
