20 hours a week over 4 days, alternate weekends with a flexible approach.
We are expanding our activities team and looking to recruit an Activities Coordinator to join our small 20 bed residential care home based in Ryde.
Our Activities Team provide a full and varied activities programme of therapeutic group, individual and one to one activities for residents to enjoy.
Main Duties of our Activities Coordinator.
Organise, plan an activity programme reflecting our residents’ preferences
Produce a monthly newsletter for both residents and families
Supporting residents to engage with the local community, churches and various groups outside of Victoria House
Ensure our residents are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their wellbeing
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
Develop effective working relationships with other employees and work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams
You will be working together as a team and on your own
Skills and Experience of our Activities Coordinator.
Previous experience of organising events and activities would be an advantage
A background in Leisure, Media or Arts would be an advantage
Good organisational skills
Forward thinking and able to plan effectively for upcoming events and activities
A good level of computer literacy
Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
Willing to undertake training courses to keep skills relevant and up to date
Hold a full, clean driving licence

If successful following on from interview, you will be invited to meet the activities co-ordinator and Lead and to complete an activity of your choice with the residents demonstrating your skills.
A decision will then be made to whether you have been successful.
