The Adult Social Care Learning Disability Team are seeking to appoint a full time Social Work Assistant to be part of our dynamic, supportive and busy team. We are a group of passionate and motivated staff, who strive to advocate for the Learning Disability community on the Island.

As a Social Work assistant, you will complete new Care Act Assessments and Annual Reviews for clients with an existing care package. You will also hold a case load of lower-level cases for clients who may require longer term support and intervention. You will also support the qualified Social Workers with joint working in relation to safeguarding where required and help to meet our statutory requirements under the Care Act linked to performance.

This is a full-time position.

This is an agile role, that will include working from home and County Hall as required.

The role involves direct case work with clients and their support networks, partnership working with health and providers, and working creatively with individuals to support them to achieve their identified outcomes and lead a fulfilling life.

PLEASE NOTE: Out of Hours Standby and Call Out

You will be required to take part in the Out of Hours Stand-by Duty Rota as and when requested by management.

Standby and call out duties are paid in accordance with the IWC Terms and Conditions 2012 document.
