The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a highly efficient and motivated team player to take up the position of Administrator in the Public Health team. 

To succeed, you will have:

  • previous office-based experience
  • experience of high-level formal minute taking

Alongside your comprehensive, highly effective organisational skills, you will be flexible in your approach with a willingness to learn specific skills for the role.

Our team:

You will be joining a friendly motivated and high performing team supporting delivery of the Public Health function for Isle of Wight Council.

Our Public Health Team aim to improve the overall health of the people on the Island. The team works collaboratively with a range of local services to:

  • assess and address the health needs and inequalities on the Island
  • promote healthy living
  • develop strategies for health improvement

Public health focuses on the entire spectrum of health and wellbeing. Activity is targeted either at population level, through the likes of health campaigns, as well as the provision of personal services to an individual.
