Job Summary
These opportunities will be offered on an initial 9 month fixed term, part time (25 hours per week) basis.
Due to significant growth three brand new roles have been created in our busy East Cowes facilities for Operations Cost Coordinators. Working closely with one of the Operations Group Leaders, and associated Team Leaders, the main aim of these roles will be to enhance indirect procurement for Operations, aiming to reduce costs, improve stock control, and introduce new products. Additionally, to oversee the management of standard hours bookings for the site
These will be predominantly office-based roles, with regular visits to the factory floor, and the potential of some hybrid working (subject to the requirements of the business).
Full training will be given, however to be successful in these roles you will need to be confident, exceptionally well organised, have first class communication skills, and a high level of experience with data (Excel, databases etc.)
Job Responsibilities
The day to day responsibilities for the Operations Cost Coordinator will include overseeing stock levels of all "indirect" goods on the shop floor (consumables, PPE etc.), monitoring shelf life, avoiding overstocking, with the aim of ensuring cost efficiencies and the elimination of waste.
You will also be responsible for booking Operators' time to jobs using our in-house systems (full training given)
Job Qualification
Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Good standard of education in Maths and English (minimum grade 4 GCSE or equivalent preferred);
- The ability to be highly organised, proactive, and with an eye for detail;
- First class communication skills, with the confidence to flag up potential problems;
- IT literate, with superb data management skills (Excel etc.);
- The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly;
- Any previous experience working within manufacturing environments will be beneficial
We’ll offer you fantastic challenges and amazing opportunities. This is your chance to be part of an organisation that has proven itself to be at the cutting edge of our industry; and is committed to pushing the boundaries even further. And with some of the best training on offer in the industry, who knows how far you can go?
