Leading and inspiring a small team, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Fundraising to create and execute innovative fundraising strategies, while expanding key income streams, including regular giving, appeals, the charity's weekly lottery, and gifts in wills.
A persuasive people-person, you will be adept at building, managing, and nurturing relationships with a variety of stakeholders and suppliers. You will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and possess a flexible approach to working within a dynamic and caring team environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record of success in individual giving fundraising, encompassing some or all of the following - legacies, regular giving, lottery schemes, and in memoriam donations.
- Management abilities, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on kindness and responsiveness in all interactions.
- Creativity and a strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and implement successful fundraising campaigns tailored to diverse audiences via newsletters, social media, website, and supporter collateral.
- Confidence in handling financial data, with strong numerical acumen and the ability to analyse and report on complex information.
- A solid understanding of individual giving fundraising legislation, regulatory codes of practice, and other relevant laws and guidelines.
- Proficiency in Raiser's Edge database, with demonstrable experience in data extraction and analysis.
Overview of Role
- To deliver the Supporter pillar of the fundraising strategy, by recruiting and developing individual giving supporters through delivery of a planned programme of proactive communications to supporters, in line with the fundraising strategy.
This is a temporary contract for 12 months.

Key Tasks
- To deliver a planned programme of appeals and activities designed to raise the annual fundraising income target for individual giving for the Mountbatten Group; and to operate within the agreed expenditure budget, fundraising governance and compliance regulations.
- To recruit, steward and develop individual supporters through a number of established channels (including regular giving, appeals, the charitys weekly lottery, gifts in wills).
- To recruit and manage contracts with suppliers and agencies who are best able to support the Group at competitive cost and in line with Mountbattens values.
- To ensure that individual giving supporters receive outstanding customer care, stewardship and support.
- To promote regular giving, to deliver planned appeals, to administer the charitys weekly lottery, in memoriam and legacy administration.
- To lead, motivate and manage two Supporter Coordinators using a supportive management style in order to create optimum levels of performance and an environment in which staff feel valued and supported, to enable them to deliver against clear objectives.
- To ensure the Supporter Coordinators are trained appropriately to ensure high standards of performance, data management and supporter experience are delivered.
- With the support of Head of Fundraising, to ensure quarterly tactical Supporter fundraising plans are in place and focused on the strategic objectives and KPIs.
