We need a Financial Assessment & Charging Officer to join us in ensuring Islanders have a smooth experience using our service.

Our team supports individuals across the Isle of Wight in understanding how much they need to pay towards their own packages of care based on current government guidance. We work to ensure that the correct charges are applied for each individual in receipt of care and support on the Island. As a team, we need to be precise and accurate at all times.

This role requires the following skills:

  • Good numeracy skills and comfortable handling data
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to use ICT systems for case management (we use PARIS – training provided)

You do not need to have previously worked in finance; however, we are looking for an individual familiar with the pressures of a fast-paced working environment where deadlines need to be met and staff can work proactively and independently

There will be a requirement to attend council offices in Newport, Isle of Wight, twice a week as standard or when requested.

Our team is close-knit, and we are always prepared to jump in and support where needed, so we are looking for likeminded individuals who can adapt and prioritise their workloads
