Overview of role: To lead the fundraising, engagement and stewardship event activity for the Mountbatten Group, delivering the relevant objectives of the fundraising strategy.

37.5 hours per week to be worked flexibly in accordance with the needs of the role which may include weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

Salary: £40,040.60 per annum

Key Tasks:

To raise the strategic annual fundraising income targets for events activity for the group and operate within the agreed expenditure budget, fundraising governance and compliance regulations, with particular focus on the protection and promotion of the flagship ‘Walk the Wight’ event.

To adapt and improve the fundraising strategy, as it relates to fundraising, engagement and stewardship event activity to always have a 3 years forward viewpoint, promoting income growth and utilisation of new, developing and traditional fundraising event activities.

To lead, manage and motivate the events staff and volunteers using a supportive management style in order to create optimum levels of performance and an environment in which staff feel valued and supported, to enable them to deliver against clear objectives.

To ensure the events fundraising staff and volunteers are trained appropriately to ensure high standards of performance, data management and supporter experience are delivered.

To ensure quarterly tactical fundraising, engagement and stewardship plans are in place and focused on the strategic objectives and KPI’s.
