Activities Lead

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Activities Lead to join our friendly team. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference to the lives of our residents by planning and delivering meaningful, engaging and person-centred activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a varied activities programme tailored to residents’ interests, hobbies and abilities

  • Organise group activities, entertainment, outings and one-to-one sessions

  • Produce a monthly newsletter and activities calendar showcasing recent activities and upcoming events

  • Encourage resident participation and promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction

  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, staff and the local community

  • Maintain accurate records and activity documentation

  • Support themed events, celebrations and fundraising activities throughout the year

  • Manage activity resources and maintain organised activity spaces

  • Working a rolling week 1/week 2 rota and alternate weekends. Hours 9.30-2.30 with 1 day a week 9.30-4 (Admin day) 

Skills & Experience

  • Good computer skills, including creating newsletters, calendars and activity materials

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Creative, enthusiastic and motivated approach

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Compassionate and patient nature

  • Previous experience in activities, care or customer-focused roles is desirable
