Vectis Refrigeration is expanding its commercial catering service offering and is looking for a qualified Commercial Catering Gas Engineer to help lead this side of the business.

This is not just another van and job list role. We are looking for the right engineer to help us build a proper commercial catering division, set high standards and support long term clients across the Isle of Wight.

We already have a strong refrigeration, air conditioning and maintenance client base, and commercial catering is a natural next step for the business.

The role

You will be carrying out:

• Commercial catering gas servicing, breakdowns and repairs
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Fault finding on commercial kitchen equipment
• Gas safety checks and compliance reporting
• Installs and commissioning where required
• Clear digital job reports
• Client advice and technical recommendations
• Support in shaping our commercial catering standards and processes

You will be working across schools, hospitality venues, holiday parks, commercial kitchens, care sector clients and other commercial sites.

What we need

You should have:

• Gas Safe registration for commercial catering
• COMCAT qualifications
• Strong fault finding ability
• Good electrical understanding
• Full UK driving licence
• Professional communication with clients
• Pride in proper PPM, not tick box servicing
• Ability to work independently and help grow the department

Ideally, you will hold COMCAT1 and COMCAT3 as a minimum. COMCAT5, LPG, Rational, warewash or manufacturer training would be a strong advantage.
