JOB VACANCY: Classic Car Mechanic – Minor Repairs, Servicing & Recommissioning

Are you a skilled and experienced mechanic with a passion for classic cars? We’re a busy, well-established workshop on the Isle of Wight, specialising in the servicing, recommissioning, and sympathetic repair of older and heritage vehicles — and we’re looking for a reliable, hands-on professional to join our small, dedicated team.

About the Role:

You’ll be working on a wide range of classic vehicles, carrying out everything from minor mechanical repairs to full recommissioning work. From fluid changes and brake servicing to diagnosing running issues or preparing a car for its first start in decades, every day offers something different. Attention to detail, mechanical sympathy, and pride in your work are essential. MOT testing would be beneficial but not required.

What We're Looking For:

• Solid, proven experience working on classic or older vehicles

• Confident carrying out general repairs, maintenance, and servicing

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload

• A genuine enthusiasm for classic cars and their preservation

• Full UK Driving Licence
