Student Experience Administrator  – Isle of Wight College

Full-Time: 39 hours per week

Holidays: 30 days a year as well as bank holidays and given days at Christmas

We’re looking for a dynamic Student Experience Administrator to join our busy Welcome Hub, supporting student admissions, applications, enquiries, and bursary processes in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career or looking to develop their professional skills within a vibrant Further Education setting.

What you’ll be doing

As part of our friendly front-of-house team, you’ll play a key role in creating an outstanding first impression for students, families, and visitors. Your day will be varied and engaging, including:

  • Providing warm, professional front-line customer service at our reception and Welcome Hub

  • Supporting the processing of applications, ensuring accurate information is captured and followed up

  • Handling student enquiries in person, by phone, and online

  • Assisting with bursary checks, eligibility queries, and coordination with Finance

  • Communicating clearly and effectively with students, parents, carers, and external partners

  • Working closely with internal teams such as Admissions, ALS, Safeguarding, Foundation, and Pathways

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, welcoming environment for all

  • Able to deliver excellent customer service in a busy, front-facing setting

  • A strong communicator, both in writing and face-to-face

  • Organised and proactive, with great attention to detail

  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities

  • Keen to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
