Pre-School @ St Helens are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated deputy manager to work closely with the manager and take charge in their absence to support the running of the pre-school. We are looking for someone;
* With a full and relevant level 3 qualifiction in childcare.
* At least 2 years' experience in a childcare setting.
* A firm understanding of the EYFS and how to implement it in practice.
* The ability to work in a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding.
* Understanding of equal opportunities.
* Sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children.
Main duties:
* To work closely with the manager in the day to day running of the Pre-school and take responsibility for their role in their absence.
* Maintain effective communication with colleagues and ensure they have clear understanding of their role, following the settings policies and procedures.
* To monitor and evaluate the quality of the provision for the families through team meetings, observations and self-evaluations.
* Effectively organise and maintain records and reports.
* To have an ongoing commitment to contuing professional development.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:45/9:00 - 5:00pm (to be confirmed) - term time only
