If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of then we would love to hear from you, as we recruit for the following role:
PERMANENT CLASSROOM TEACHER - PMLD
Salary – UQ/MPS/UPS + SEN POINT
Hours per week – Full-time, 32.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
As a PMLD teacher you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, inclusive teaching for a class of students who are across Key Stage 3-5. This will include maintenance of all subject curriculum related documentation, including student progress, attainment and accreditation.
You will work with students at St George’s School and within the community, with complex medical and behavioural challenges, alongside PMLD/ASC diagnosis. You will develop positive working relationships, sharing good practice across school, and take a lead in identifying areas for your own professional development through your reflective practice.
Who we are looking for:
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of personal resilience
- A dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher who can work creatively to enhance the education of students with a range of physical, sensory and learning difficulties as they journey through to adulthood.
- Relevant experience of working with students who have High Needs/SEND in a specialist area, such as SEMH, Medical, Autism, and complex challenging behaviour.
- Self-reflection on the effectiveness of lessons and approaches to teaching
In return we can offer:
- Wonderful students.
- The opportunity to be part of an adaptable, committed and skilled staff team.
- A creative learning environment, timetable and curriculum.
- A wide range of training opportunities for career development.
We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and expect all our staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful applicant.
