Maritime Instructor – Join the Flying Fish Team!

Flying Fish is looking for a passionate and experienced maritime instructor to join our team. If you have a strong background in the maritime industry and a talent for teaching, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll deliver both practical and theoretical training to students entering the maritime industry for the first time. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to provide high-quality instruction on and off the water.

Schedule: 5 days per week, including weekends, as our training programme runs for 45 weeks per year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver RYA and Flying Fish bespoke training packages, including:
  • Powerboat Level 2, yacht maintenance, ropework, and PWC
  • MCA-approved courses
  • Industry presentations
  • RIB/Yacht/equipment maintenance

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Strong IT skills
• Extensive teaching and coaching experience
• RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification with at least two years of teaching experience
• Knowledge of the Superyacht Industry
• Ability to inspire and motivate students

Desirable Qualifications (a plus but not required):

• PWC Instructor certification
• RYA Diesel Engine Instructor
• VHF Instructor
• Yachtmaster Power (with commercial endorsement)
• RYA Yachtmaster Theory Instructor
