Lecturer - Carpentry and Joinery
Salary up to £35,619 per annum based on experience and qualifications
Permanent Contract 39 hours per week, which will reduce to 37 hours per week from 1st August 2026 with no change in salary

We are looking for experienced professionals from industry who have spent years on site, in workshops or running jobs to bring their real-world knowledge and skills into our classrooms and training workshops
You don't need to be a teacher yet, we will help you become one, through our teacher training development programmes.

• Demonstrate industry-standard techniques — first fix, second fix, bench joinery, and safe use of tools
• Show learners how and why things are done properly
• Help apprentices and students build confidence, pride in their work, and employability

• An experienced carpenter or joiner with up-to-date industry knowledge
• Someone who takes Health and Safety seriously and leads by example
• Someone who can explain practical techniques clearly and patiently
• Someone who cares about quality, standards and personal growth
• Someone who wants to be part of a team in a role with stability, purpose and genuine job satisfaction
• If you don’t yet hold teaching or assessing qualifications that’s okay. We’ll support you to gain these while you work.
