LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS – Based at our main site in Newport 

1 x T1 – 1-2-1 support 

Salary – Hay Grade 3 - £17,929 - £18,022 per annum (actual)

Hours per week – Full-time, 31.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday),term-time only (38 weeks)

Within this role you will work 1-2-1 with one of our Key Stage 3 students at St George’s School, supporting them both in class and within the community. 

1 x Specialist support

Salary – Hay Grade 5 - £18,696 - £18,995 per annum (actual)

Hours per week – Full-time, 31.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday),

term-time only (38 weeks)

As an LSA providing specialist support, you will work with students at St George’s School and within the community, with complex medical and behavioural challenges, alongside PMLD/ASC diagnosis. You will also be required to support individuals requiring complex medical interventions and will therefore be required to undertake/update specialist training as necessary.

It is essential that applicants possess the following:

• Relevant experience of working with or caring for children of relevant school age, including Relevant experience of working with students who have High Needs/SEND in a specialist area, such as SEMH, Medical, Autism, and complex challenging behaviour for those applying for our specialist role.
• The ability to demonstrate a high level of personal resilience
• L2 English and maths, or equivalent
• A strong student focus, alongside some understanding of, and a willingness to hold safeguarding at the centre of their practice.
