Why this role matters
Behind every successful learner journey is accurate, reliable data — and this role is central to making that happen. As a CIS Support Officer, your work ensures that student records and exam data are right first time, deadlines are met, and the College stays compliant, funded, and trusted. Your contribution supports everything from timely results for students to confident audit outcomes for the organisation. While much of the impact happens behind the scenes, the difference it makes is very real: when the data is right, students are supported properly, staff can rely on the information they need, and the College can focus on delivering high-quality education. If you take pride in precision and want your work to genuinely matter, this role offers both purpose and impact.
Why this role matters
- Keeping student and exams data accurate, up to date, and compliant
- Supporting external returns, audits, and exam processes so deadlines are met
- Maintaining and checking data across systems, spotting and resolving issues
- Providing reliable information and support to colleagues across the College
- Handling learner data securely and professionally in line with policies
- Offering flexible support during key peak periods such as enrolment and exams
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things properly and understands that accuracy really matters. This role would suit you if you:
- Enjoy working with data, systems, and structured processes, and like things to be right first time
- Have a methodical, organised approach, especially when handling detailed or high-volume information
- Stay calm and focused when working to tight deadlines and during peak periods
- Communicate clearly and professionally, particularly when sharing information or responding to queries
- Understand the importance of confidentiality, compliance, and data protection
- Are dependable, team-focused, and happy to support colleagues to keep everything running smoothly
- Has Level 2 English and Maths alongside a Level 2 Business Administration qualification
Experience in student records, exams, data administration, or a compliance-driven environment is helpful, but we’re equally interested in your attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to high standards.
