Carisbrooke College are seeking an experienced and committed leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher, with responsibility for safeguarding, attendance, and behaviour. Acting as the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will ensure statutory compliance, best practice, and effective staff training. You will drive strategies to improve attendance and punctuality, reduce persistent absence, and foster a culture of high expectations. In leading behaviour, you will promote consistent policy implementation and restorative approaches that support pupils’ wellbeing and personal growth. Working closely with families, colleagues, and external agencies, you will play a vital role in shaping an inclusive, safe, and positive school culture while contributing to whole-school improvement.
